Helping Out a Poor Grad Student

http://acephalous.typepad.com/acephalous/2006/11/measuring_the_s.html

This guy is doing some sort of research on how fast a meme travels across the internet. To help, repost the above URL on you blog. He has some sort of program that finds all those links and then creates a database documenting when and how fast they were posted (or something of this nature,) and this will help him blow his silly professor away. (Which is the real goal here, naturally.)

If you want to know more, click on the link above and read away.

  1. I would like to help with the research except that I'm not so sure that it's very healthy to know how fast a meme travels. I mean an eye could be put out with one of those things zinging across the web.
And think of that poor professor, If he gets blown away then he might become unstable ,crack up and maybe even use his professorship powers for evil instead of good. Then where would we be?
And research is scary stuff too. Did you know that the leading cause of death among labratory animals IS research?
I' like to help but it just ain't right, not right at all.
